摘要:The investigation aims to develop the micro-schlieren
technique for visualization of micro-heatflow,which
offers the study of transparent flow phenomena in
micro-structures. Schlieren technique is often used to
obtain the two dimensional refraction index gradient
distribution within a transparent object. The
experiments used micro-schlieren technique to visualize
the free boundary heat water flow, which is built in a
water tank. In the water tank, a bottle is filled with
warm water and closed by some suitable bottle caps,
which are drilled with different scale holes. In
processing the warm water in the bottle runs through the
hole of bottle cap into the water tank. The micro-heat
water flow is visualized by the micro-schlieren
technique. The experiments have successfully
visualized 200μm heat water flow in free boundary
situation. This paper shows some experimental data
including the technical discussions.
