論文中文摘要:The Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua is a region rich in natural and cultural diversity that offers a clear touristic potential but in order for the region to become an important tourism destination, it requires a professional, specialized, globally known, high quality travel agency, to implement a tailored and innovative program to promote this still under explored region.
In this study, we will present an innovative method for package design. We will first design and apply a questionnaire to get real insights of tourists preferences. Then we will combine frequent Itemset mining to identify set of destinations in the questionnaire that are selected concurrently by customers with data analysis tools to analyze the travel preferences of the respondents to finally select optimal sets of destinations. The selected frequent item sets are good candidates for travel package design. The results will be valuable for the setup of a strong travel agency that will focus in the Caribbean of Nicaragua. Which therefore will lead to the creation of awareness of the country’s region as a tourism destination, and will create long sustainable economic growth.
